The sixth Assumption Life Bike Ride held on Saturday, October 3, at the Botanical Garden in Saint-Jacques was the "greenest" to date! From noon until 4 p.m., participants enjoyed group activities, buskers, face-painting, educational booths on environmental protection and kiosks featuring local products in addition to the bike ride.

Students from the Edmundston area were also invited to pin their green messages on the event’s clotheslines. Participants at the event voted for the two school of their choice. The winning and participating schools were awarded cash prizes to help fund a green activity at their school:
1st place ($500): École Mgr-Matthieu-Mazerolle
2nd place ($300): École Saint-Jacques
Participating prizes ($100 each): École Régionale Saint-Basile, École Saint-Joseph, Cité des Jeunes A.M-Sormany and Carrefour de la Jeunesse
