Assumption Life awarded the André Mailhot National Award for a third year in a row

For the first time ever, the Life Insurance Institute of Canada, (LOMA Institute) has awarded to the same company for a third consecutive year the prestigious André Mailhot National Corporate Award for Best Practices in Learning and Development -- to none other than Assumption Life.

Rachelle Gagnon, Human Resources Director of Assumption Life, accepted the award, under the small company category, at LOMA Canada’s annual conference yesterday, June 12, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. "LOMA Canada is pleased to recognize Assumption Life with this important national award for their innovative employee training programs, which not only ensure that employees retain key business and company information but do so in an engaging, flexible and cost effective manner," said George Mohacsi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Foresters and Chairman of the LOMA Canada Council, while congratulating Assumption Life.

The award, won by Assumption Life, is dedicated to the memory of André Mailhot (1942-1994) who was Vice President and General Manager of Human Resources at Industrial Alliance Life Insurance Company. This award recognizes and shares the best existing or new practices in learning and development (team or individual) in the life and health insurance as well as the financial services industryin Canada, and promotes excellence in education for the overall improvement of our industry.
