Assumption Life announced today that its President and CEO, André Vincent, would be leaving his current position on December 31, 2018. Effective January 1, 2019, he will assume the role of senior advisor to the new President and CEO, until he officially retires on June 30, 2019.

Mr. Vincent has been at the helm of the Acadian company since April 2013, guiding it through a major transformation of its activities that reinforced the capacities of each of its sectors of activity.
One of his most notable achievements is without a doubt steering Assumption Life through an essential digital transformation to position the company well for the future.

“I’m very proud of the work we have accomplished and the path the company is on. Assumption Life is in good health, and I’m leaving it in the capable hands of a qualified President and CEO, a strong management team and professional employees who are determined to ensure its development and continuity for many years to come,” said Mr. Vincent.

Since moving to Acadia, the Quebec native has become involved in many social and cultural causes in the Acadian community. He has never concealed his affection for his adopted home and the vibrancy of its people.

Appointment of successor
It was also announced today that Sébastien Dupuis will become Assumption Life’s next president and CEO.

Mr. Dupuis is excited at the prospect of assuming his new role on January 1. “Assumption Life has had a special place in my heart since 2001, so it is an honour for me to enter this new chapter in my career with the organization. I would like to thank Mr. Vincent for his outstanding work over the past six years and look forward to benefiting from his time with us as senior advisor to ensure the transition goes smoothly,” said Mr. Dupuis
